There are currently 7 examination rooms in the ER. In these rooms, we treat patients who are both slightly ill or lightly injured - sometimes also those who are seriously ill or severly injured. All rooms are equipped with monitoring units. Sometimes so many patients come at the same time that we have to carry out some of the treatments in the corridor. However, this will be solved in the foreseeable future by 2020 as part of an expansion of the emergency room into a new building.

Here in these rooms, we decide whether you have to be treated as an inpatient or whether you can leave the emergency room without much further diagnosis and therapy. Time and again, patients and their relatives are surprised - sometimes because they can go home again and thought they were much sicker. Sometimes, because they should stay in hospital and thought they were much healthier.
